Until last week the list of GTA 6 songs anyone could point to with confidence was about six tracks long, scraped from two trailers. The Extended Look changed that in 26 minutes. Outlet trackers counting what actually played during the August 27 video put the number of newly heard tracks at around 14, taking the running total across all three Rockstar videos to roughly 20 or 21 depending on who is counting and how they treat short snippets.

Important framing before the list: Rockstar has not published a tracklist. Every song below was identified by ear, by Shazam, or by outlets cross referencing licensing databases. That is a good process with a real error rate, and a few entries have been reported inconsistently.

What Was Confirmed Before August 27

Three songs did most of the heavy lifting during the long wait.

The Petty track is also the clearest evidence of what a Rockstar placement does commercially. Streaming trackers reported a spike in the tens of thousands of percent on Spotify in the days after Trailer 1 went live, for a song released in 1991. We looked at that phenomenon separately in what a Rockstar trailer does to a song.

What the Extended Look Added

The 26 minute video ranged across roughly five decades, which is itself the most useful signal in the whole batch. Tracks reported by outlets including PC Gamer, SVG and GTA BOOM include:

ArtistTrackEra
The Pointer SistersHot Together1986
Phil CollinsAgainst All Odds1984
Wang Chung(reported placement)1980s
Tammy Wynette(reported placement)classic country
Jay Ferguson(reported placement)1970s rock
Zenglen(reported placement)Haitian kompa
Tate McRaeSports Car2025
The WeekndWanderlustmodern
DJ KhaledBills Paidmodern
Sexyy Red and Tay KeithPound Town2023

Some of those attributions are firmer than others. The Pointer Sisters, Phil Collins, Tate McRae and The Weeknd placements have been reported consistently across multiple outlets. Others appear in some trackers and not others. Treat the table as the current best community consensus, not a Rockstar document.

The Zenglen Entry Is the Interesting One

If you only take one thing from this list, make it that name. Zenglen is a Haitian kompa band, and a kompa track appearing in an official Rockstar video is not a coincidence in a game with a confirmed Little Haiti district.

It maps onto something Rockstar has done well since San Andreas: radio as geography. GTA 5's stations were genre buckets. Vice City's were era buckets. Leonida's appear to be cultural buckets, which fits a state where Cuban, Haitian, Southern and transplant communities all occupy different postcodes. A kompa placement alongside Tammy Wynette alongside Sexyy Red is not a scattershot playlist. It is a map.

Radio Stations: Still Almost Entirely Unconfirmed

This is where expectations need managing. Rockstar has announced no station names, no DJs and no tracklists. What exists:

For scale, GTA 5 shipped with more than 240 licensed songs across 17 stations. Twenty confirmed tracks is therefore around 8 percent of a GTA 5 sized soundtrack, and GTA 6 is widely expected to exceed GTA 5. Our broader soundtrack expectations piece covers what the station lineup is likely to look like.

What the Range Tells Us

The five decade spread is the real headline. A modern day setting frees Rockstar from the period accuracy that constrained Vice City in 2002, which means the soundtrack can do what real Florida radio does: run a classic rock station, a trap station, a country station and a Caribbean station in the same market, all at once. That is a much larger licensing job than a period piece, and it is consistent with a game that reportedly carries the biggest commercial library in series history alongside hours of original in game television.

Frequently Asked Questions

Has Rockstar released the official GTA 6 tracklist?

No. Every song on every tracker was identified from audio in the trailers and the Extended Look. Rockstar has historically published full tracklists at or near launch.

How many songs will GTA 6 have?

Unknown. GTA 5 launched with over 240 licensed tracks across 17 stations, and GTA 6 is widely expected to match or exceed that. No official figure exists.

Is Vice City FM confirmed to return?

It has been reported as returning based on in game material spotted during the Extended Look, but Rockstar has not announced any station. Label it reported.

Will GTA 6 let me play my own music?

Nothing has been announced. Custom radio has historically been a PC feature in the GTA series, and no PC version of GTA 6 has been announced.

The Bottom Line

Twenty or so confirmed songs out of a soundtrack that will likely run past 200 is a sliver, but it is a representative sliver. Five decades, four or five distinct genre lanes, and a Haitian kompa track sitting next to classic country. Rockstar is not building a Vice City nostalgia playlist. It is building a modern Florida radio dial, and the full lineup is not arriving before November 19, 2026.
